ALPINA has always made some amazing BMWs and they’re always highly desirable. This ALPINA B10 Biturbo is very interesting and would be an absolute beauty in the eyes of an E34 fan and could possible sway some E34 haters. is a 1990 ALPINA B10 Biturbo with 75,000 miles on the odometer and it looks fantastic. The typical ALPINA color scheme, blue with the gold striping, looks great and makes the somewhat boxy E34 body style look far more interesting. And those ALPINA wheels…I don’t have to say much more. I also like the rear wing, which adds some visual drama to the rather bland rear end of the E34.
Engine-wise, the ALPINA B10 Biturbo uses a modified version of the M30 3.5 liter I6 from the BMW 535i, except with upgraded pistons, cams and valves, and ALPINA added two Garrett T25 turbochargers and Bosche variable boost control. These upgrades gave the ALPINA B10 360 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque, which enabled it to get from f0-60 mph in around 5.6 seconds and have a top speed of 180 mph. That’s quick by today’s standards and was monstrous for 1990. That motor is mated to a five-speed manual transmission by Getrag.
